Symfony 3.0 migration PHP 5.5 to PHP 7.1 : «A PHP accelerator should be installed > Install and/or enable a PHP accelerator (highly recommended)»?

I want to upgrade PHP5.5 to 7.1 in a SYMFONY 3.0 Project.

I have been checking the «php.ini» file to get the right result.

One last thing is unresolved: Under PHP5.5, I used the extension accelerator php_apcu.dll. This is not maintained in PHP7.

I was looking for alternative and I read here that the accelerator is no longer needed in PHP7 because already embedded in it.

When I do a CLI: «php bin/symfony_requirements», the following message appears:

A PHP accelerator should be installed > Install and/or enable a PHP > accelerator (highly recommended)

As I understand it, I don’t need to add a new extension but I can enable somewhow the accelerator in PHP7.

Does someone know if an «accelerator» parameter needs to be set to «true» in PHP7, or does it run by default (and Symfony error message should be ignored), or a new extension (different from the deprecated APC as the wiki page explains) should be installed?

UPDATES: Following comments received on the question I added to my «php.ini» the following setting:

I restarted the Apache service and When I do a CLI: «php bin/symfony_requirements», I still receive the following message:

A PHP accelerator should be installed > Install and/or enable a PHP > accelerator (highly recommended)

Updates regarding @LBA required info: I did a CLI «composer update» in the folder of my Symfony project.

Then when I do a CLI: «php bin/symfony_requirements», I get:

The composer file in the symfony project looks like that:

And if I try to change the value to «php»:»>=7.1.0″ and launch «composer update» it gives:

So there is something wrong with my environement variable with Symfony.

Проверка конфигурации настроек сервера для запуска приложения Symfony

В этой статье будет описано как настроить сервер с соблюдением рекомендаций Symfony.

Приложение было установлено на PHP 5.4 с версией Symfony 2.8.16.

Итак, посмотрим, что же рекоммендует Symfony.

Запустим встроенный веб-сервер:

И перейдем на страницу:

Видим следующие рекомендации:

Это сообщение говорит о том, что не было включено расширение intl, которое используется валидаторами.

Включим его в php.ini:

После перезагрузки страницы мы видим новое сообщение:

В нем говорится, что версия ICU используемая в PHP, не совпадает с версией ICU используемой Symfony.

Попробуем взять расширение php_intl.dll из дистрибутива PHP 5.6 (в нем как раз используется версия ICU 57.1) и заменить наше расширение php_intl.dll, предварительно сделав бекап.

К сожалению, такой трюк не пройдет, т.к. PHP 5.4 скомпилирован с определенной версией intl и с другой работать не хочет.

В таком случае остается либо перейти на версию PHP 5.6, либо ничего не делать с этой рекоммендацией, т.к. следовать этим рекоммендациям не обязательно.

В этом сообщении говорится, что должен быть установлен PHP-акселератор.

PHP-акселераторы позволяются увеличить производительность PHP за счет кэширования скомпилированного байт-кода в памяти.

Как происходит обработка сценария:

Без PHP-акселератора, чтение файла и генерация байт-кода выполняется всегда.

С включенным PHP-акселератором, чтение файла и генерация байт-кода выполняется один раз, при этом байт-код сохраняется в памяти.

PHP-акселераторы рекомендуется использовать только, если у вас PHP версии 5.4 и ниже, начиная с версии 5.5 в PHP по умолчанию используется акселератор Zend OPcache.

Скачаем акселератор APC и подключим расширение в php.ini:

В этом сообщении говорится, что нужно увеличить кэш до 5 МБ, т.к. это может увеличить производительность на Windows в некоторых случаях.

Как утсановить Symfony2 на Apache?

Ну так следуйте инструкциям приведенными вами, неужели сложно разобраться?.

Смысл пытаться освоить symfony если вы еще с php не разобрались?

сейчас устанавливаю на web matrix.
ошибок меньше:

@fornit1917 я вообще не понимаю какой смысл заниматься разработчикой на Symfony под виндой? Ладно там настройть вагрант какой и запускать проекты в виртуалке оставаясь в уютненьком шиндовсе, но Symfony проекты на винде банально медленее работают (за счет медленной работы с файлами (is_file/file_exists/require) и регулярок в дев режиме все очень плохо). Виртуалка даст прирост.

@cimonlebedev APC устанавливать обязательно, иначе будет очень не приятно работать в dev окружении. Да и в прод окружении не особо. Странички будут обновляться по паре секунд.

А еще лучше поставьте virtualbox, настройте самбу и работайте хотя бы так. Если конечно вам интересно поднять скилы.

I’m trying to install an accelerator with wamp, but with no luck till now.
I allready tried APC and eaccelerator. I couldn’t find a dll for APC, and eaccelerator makes the server hang when I restart the services

One of the best use of this function is when installing the symfony framework or any other frameworks.

Using a framework is good so a good advice on checking the your server is this :

Save the script on your webroot and this will check your SERVER. (Notice that APC PHP Accelarator is failed)

Because windows is using a dll, we need to get this here : [downloads.php.net]

I preferred the php_apc-3.0.19-5.2-Win32-VC6-x86.zip. Because the [pecl4win.php.net] is out of service (as of this time).

Open your php.ini and insert «extension=php_apc.dll» like shown below

Restart your WAMP.. and run the check.php that you’ve downloaded earlier.

I am trying to install apc, but so far without success. Whatever version I download from the above mentioned site, on startup apache tells me.
