For the last few days, every time I click on a Google Image I get the message:
This is fantastically annoying and appears to be limited to Firefox. Chrome doesn’t do it, and I run both with a similar set of add-ons. I’ve seen suggestions to set accessibility.blockautorefresh to false in about:config. It is already set to false.

For comparison, I tested while I was logged out of my Google account. If you are logged in, you could test in a private window (the cookie that keeps you logged in should not cross over from the regular window to the private window). You can launch a private window using Ctrl+Shift+n.
Does that (or logging out in a regular window) make any difference?

When I click a site’s link in Google images, it changes to a redirect URL like this:
When you check the redirect URL, is it missing some of those extra parts you see in my example?
In my testing, if either the psig value or the ust value is missing, Google pauses on the redirect warning page. This seems to be some kind of double-check that their exit script is not being used to phish people over to untrustworthy sites.

Me, too. So this extension, by itself, doesn’t cause the problem. At least on mine. I do not use the other one you listed:

I did not remember to remove it, but doing so doesn’t fix the problem. I tried having each of them enabled separately and it still happened.

Those values appear to be missing on every single image link. Don’t really know why.

So I was having some trouble a few days ago with a website that automatically re-directed as soon as I landed on it to another page. So I happily went off in the settings and disable the automatic redirect. Now a week or two later I’m sitting here going I can’t find the setting anymore? I can’t even search for it and have absolutely no results you would think searching for «redirect» in the settings pain would bring it up. it’s probably something that got buried in developer tools that I would never be able to turn off/toggle again unless I get lucky with the right extremely memorable and easily accessible incantation in the about : config because that’s just all so well documented. Is it a «1» is it a «0» is it a «5» which one disabled / enabled what is the other options do?

You can modify this pref on the about:config page to disable this accessibility feature.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to «Accept the Risk and Continue».

Oh yeah and why do I have to have a text file list of all the things I have to toggle in the about:config that used to be a nice accessible setting. I guess it’s still better than chrome, the last updated UI design was nice. Better yet why bother having settings/Preferences at all, just do away with the whole menu and make everybody go to the about:config menu.

Thanks I’m not sure how it got turned on then because I know I went into preferences and toggled it, maybe it synced from another older browser?
I have a text file with all the about:config fixes that need to be changed on installing a new system, I just haven’t gotten to it on the new system. half the time I bookmark something I have to go into the web archive when I eventually find the bookmark I’m looking for. There used to be some really nice pages that had nice documentation to what some of the settings did and their respective options, but they don’t show up when searching for a string or setting. So I’m left with scrolling the Internet for interpreted articles that don’t quite know what they’re talking about but vaguely list with the function does.

How do I disable HTTPS redirect. I am «aware of the risks» blah blah paranoid blah. And well aware of what I’m doing. But for some reason with 32 no everything heads over to https including non-https bookmarks.
No matter how I type it in; HTTP://www.xxxx www.xxxxx
I would like to find some way, by setting, about:config command (or hack if I have to) or even an extension someone could point me to that could stop this maddening overuse of secure transfers.

Disabling https, is not an absolute in Firefox. Some sites will redirect and may not offer http.
However to choose one url over the other if it is an option you can disable autofil:

It’s not all sites, though, just some sites? Like the following URL that you’ve never visited before (on a site that has not SSL support):
If ALL sites attempt HTTPS, make sure you haven’t installed the «HTTPS Everywhere» extension or something similar.
You can review and disable extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
In the left column, click Extensions. I suggest disabling unrecognized and nonessential extensions, and removing any that obviously are undesirable (if any).
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
